Thanksgiving break is next week Wednesday - Friday, Nov. 25-27.
KPM will not have class on Friday, Dec. 4. KAM class will meet at their regular time.
The Streets of Bethlehem will be held Friday, Dec 4, from 6:00 -8:30 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5, from 5:00-8:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to come and experience the journey to Bethlehem.
The coloring contest winners have been announced. Grayson Arnold won in the KAM class and Gavin Baltazar won in the KPM class. Mrs. McFall was also the winner for the teacher division. Congratulations! (Everyone did a great job on their pictures!)
Yankee candles have arrived. Please pick your order up in our classroom.
Just a reminder that both kindergarten classes will take part in the Advent service here at Zion on Wednesday, Dec. 9. The KAM class will be in the 10:00 a.m. service and the KPM class will be in the 7:00 p.m. service. Both services will be held in the church. There is no special type or color of clothing that needs to be worn - just something nice for God's house! All students should plan to participate. Parents, grandparents, friends & neighbors are all welcome to attend.

A coloring contest is being sponsored by Zion's National Junior Honor Society. The picture for the kindergarten students came home Wednesday and needs to be returned by Monday, Nov. 16th. Crayons, markers or colored pencils may be used to complete the picture.
Zion is gathering canned and non-perishable food items to give to needy families in the Brighton area. Donations may be placed on the table in the school entryway by Sunday, Nov. 22nd.
The "Giving Tree" gives families or individuals the opportunity to buy a plant, bush or tree that is needed for landscaping around the new school addition. Every item purchased will help reduce the overall cost of the project. The tree is in the school entryway. Take the item you wish to purchase off the tree and place it in the box (or basket) with a check or cash. We appreciate any and all donations!
Both kindergarten classes will be taking part in the Advent services here at Zion on Wednesday, Dec. 9. KAM will do the 10:00 a.m. service and KPM will do the 7:00 p.m. service. Everyone should plan to participate. Parents, grandparents and friends are welcome to attend. We are working on learning the songs and recitations in class, but I will also send them home so that you may work with them too.
If any book orders are meant to be gifts, let me know and we'll get them to you.
There is no school Wednesday - Friday, Nov. 25-27 for Thanksgiving break.
Friday, Dec. 4 there will be no KPM class. KAM will meet at the regular time. Streets of Bethlehem is that night and the following night here at Zion and setup needs to be completed Friday afternoon.

The Book-It program sponsored by Pizza Hut is starting. Each month a calendar with a reading goal of a certain number of minutes will come home. Fill in the calendar as you read to your child (or your child reads to you) and return it when the goal has been reached. Your child then gets a certificate to take to Pizza Hut to redeem for a free pizza. For more information, check out their website at www.bookitprogram.com
Zion will be having their annual Thanksgiving dinner on Wed. Nov. 18. All students & parents are welcome to join us. Since kindergarten students don't usually eat lunch at school, they will need to buy a ticket to eat here. We are not eating together as a class. An adult will need to be here with them. Order tickets at the school office by Fri. Nov. 13.
Parent conferences had to be rescheduled because of the snow and then some because I didn't feel well. If you have not rescheduled your conference yet, please contact me so that we can make arrangements to meet. If you have set something up, I will send reminder notes home on Monday.
Construction has closed part of 14th Street just south of our parking lot. Cars now enter at the north driveway and exit at the south driveway. Please use caution and have patience as our building project progresses. This road closure should be done the middle of next week.
Book orders came home today and are due back Thurs. Nov. 12.
