Our Harvest Happening Fall Fun Festival will be Wednesday, October 28. It will be a day of fall games and activities. We will not be dressing in costumes. Parents are welcome to join us and help with some of the activities. We will start at 9:30 a.m./1:30 p.m. If you would like to send treats, please have them wrapped so that they may be taken home.

Parent conferences will be next Tuesday - Friday. The exact conference time will come home on Monday. Some may not get their requested time, since I have 17 requests for a 2-hour time frame! If you can't make the time that you get scheduled, please let me know and we can work something out. Report cards will be given out at conferences.

Picture retakes will be Tuesday, Oct. 27 - KAM at 9:00 a.m. & KPM at 12:15 p.m.

There is no KPM class today.

Yankee candle fundraiser ends Monday, Oct. 19. Packets should be returned that day.

Kindergarten schedule -
Tues. Oct. 20 - KPM class will start at 11:45 a.m. for a fire safety program.
Fri. Oct. 23 - KAM class will dismiss at the regular time.
KPM will not have class.
Fri. Oct. 30 - No school -Parent conferences

Parent Conferences will be the week of Oct. 26-30. Forms will be coming home next week where you can request a day and time frame for your conference. Specific times will then be set up and sent home.

There have been a number of students arriving late for class. Please make sure your child gets to school on time.

Our Miller Farm trip is Tues. Oct. 13. An information sheet went home on Thursday. Both classes should come to school at 8:00 a.m. We will leave Zion at 8:45 a.m. and should return by 1:00 p.m. Students may be picked up in the classroom anytime after that. Students may also stay in the classroom until 3:00 p.m. if they have to wait for siblings or a ride.

Our kindergarten t-shirts have arrived. Please have your child wear it for our trip on Tuesday.

Tuesday, Oct. 20, the KPM students are asked to come to school by 11:45 a.m. We will have a fire safety program at that time.

Friday, Oct. 23, there will be no KPM class. Zion students are being dismissed at 11:30 a.m. that day - KAM will still dismiss at 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 28, we will have a "Harvest Happening" in our classroom. We will not be doing a costume party, but we will do fall games and activities and have special treats. More information will come home next week.

Book orders were sent home today. They are due back Thursday, Oct. 15. You may also order online.

Just a reminder that there are many computer activities available on our school's website. You can access it at www.brightonzionlutheran.org and then click on school and then click on student page. This week we did an alphabet activity. Some children need more practice with that. This is a good way to check on your child's progress. You may discover games and activities to give more practice or to provide a challenge.
