The spring musical went very well! The children did a great job! Thank you for getting them all to the classroom on time and looking sharp!

Field Day is taking place tomorrow (Friday, May 14) so there is no school for kindergarten.

Our WOW Museum trip is Wednesday, May 19. KAM & KPM come to school at 8:00 a.m. They should wear their green kindergaren shirts and bring a lunch (including drink). Drivers meet in the school lobby at 9:20 a.m. We will be at the museum from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00p.m. Then we will go to E.B. Rains Jr. Park for lunch and playtime. The teacher should be told when students are ready to leave. We should return to school by 2:00 p.m. at the latest. Students who need to wait for a ride may stay in the classroom until 3:00 p.m.

The last day of classes fro kindergarten will be Thursday, May 20. Report cards and certificates will be given out at 10:30 a.m./ 2:30 p.m. Parents are welcome to come to our classroom at that time. (It's not a graduation - just a closing celebration.) All school supplies will be sent home that day so be sure your child brings his/her backpack.

Zion's closing service will be Friday, May 21 at 9:30 a.m. Kindergarten attendance is optional. Students may come to our class at 8:00 a.m. and stay until 11:30 a.m. if they would like. There will be no pizza party and we will not be going to the park. We will do some things in the room and play on the playground for awhile.

Thank you for everything that you have done this year to encourage and support me and your child here at Zion. The children have grown and made a lot of progress. God's blessings for a safe and relaxing summer!

For a Field Day update, please the school website after noon today. If the weather causes a cancellation, there will be class tomorrow for all grades - including kindergarten.

The spring musical is Wednesday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. Students should meet in our classroom by 6:45 p.m. Kindergarten students should wear white shirts and dark pants or shorts. The children may be picked up from our classroom after the program. (The program is in the gym.)

Kindergarten students do not take part in Field Day with grades 1-8. We do not have class that day though because many of the students have siblings who do take part and the family will attend together.

WOW Museum trip is Wednesday, May 19. The cost is $5.00 per student. The permission form came home yesterday. All kindergarten students should come to school at 8:00 a.m. We will leave at 9:30 a.m. Drivers should meet in the school lobby at 9:20 a.m. for information and directions. After the museum we will go to E. B. Rains Park for a picnic lunch. (Be sure to include drinks in the lunch.) Students do not need to return to school unless they need a ride.) Students should wear their green kindergarten shirts.

The last day of class for both KAM and KPM will be Thursday, May 20. Parents may come to our classroom at 10:30 a.m./2:30 p.m that day for our closing. Certificates and report cards will be given out at that time.
Friday morning is the closing service for the whole school. Chapel will be at 9:30 a.m. but students may come at 8:00 a.m. (Attendance for kindergarten that day is optional.) After the chapel service, we will walk up to the park and play for awhile. Students may be picked up there, or we will return to school at 11:00 a.m. for pickup then.

The spring musical, "Babble at BAbel" is Wednesday, May 12th. All students in grades K-6 are expected to take part. Kindergarten students should wear white shirts and dark pants or shorts. The program begins at 7:00 p.m. and usually lasts about an hour. Parents and guests are invited and welcome to attend.
Empty kleenex boxes are still needed.

Zion's PTL flower sale is this weekend and next weekend from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. each day. All proceeds benefit our school. Come and check out the selection.
PTL meeting is Tuesday, May 4th.

Zion's LWML is hosting a Mother-Daughter May Day Tea Sat. May 1st beginning at 9:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy some good food and fellowship.

The last book order for the school went home today. The deadline is Wednesday, May 5, to be sure we receive the books before school is out.

We are planning a trip to the WOW Museum in Lafayette on Wednesday, May 19. The cost is $5.00 per student - adults are free. (No siblings, please.) We will leave Zion at 9:30 a.m. to be at the museum from10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. After the museum we will go to E.B.Rains Jr. Park in Thornton for a picnic lunch. We will eat and play for awhile and should be back to school by
2:00 p.m. at the latest. (Students do not have to return to school unless they need to be picked up.) The permission/driver form will come home next week.

Night at the Museum is tonight from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Come and check out Zion's artists!

Students in grades K-6 will be doing the musical, "Babble at BAbel", on Wednesday, May 12 at 7:00 p.m. All students are expected to take part. Kindergarten students should wear white shirts and dark pants or shorts.
Empty kleenex boxes are needed to build a tower of Babel for the musical. If you have any of these at home, please send them to school. Thanks.

If your child has a summer birthday (June or July), and would like to bring a treat for the class, let me know what date you would like and I will see if someone else has already spoken for that day. There are 13 birthdays in May, June & July, so you may want to select soon!

Thank you to everyone who went to the play at the Boulder Dinner Theater. I hope you enjoyed it!
We will go on one more trip as a class. On Wednesday, May 19, we will go to the WOW Museum in Lafayette and then have a picnic lunch at the park. More details will be coming.

Our Boulder Dinner Theater trip is this Friday, April 16th. Both classes should come to school at 8:00 a.m. We will do our devotion, opening, and some other activities until it is time to go. Drivers should meet us in the school lobby at 9:00 a.m. for instructions and directions. We will take care of assigning the children rides. We plan to leave Zion about 9:10 a.m. to make sure we get there for the 10:00 a.m. performance. Please send booster seats if they are needed. ALL CHILDREN SHOULD WEAR THEIR GREEN KINDERGARTEN SHIRT (CLASS OF 2022). We should return to Zion about 11:30-11:45 a.m. Students may go home with their parents at that time or stay until a later pickup - anytime from then until 3:00 p.m. Chldren planning to stay should bring a sack lunch which we will eat in our classroom.

Memory Work this week will be said on Thursday.

This is the last week that we will help tie shoes! Hopefully, everyone has been practicing!

The LCMS Thriving Schools Survey is available to complete online until tomorrow, Fri. March 12. Your feedback will help Zion to see its strengths and evaluate areas that need improvement.

KAM class does not have school tomorrow, Fri. March 12. KPM class will come from 8:00-11:00 a.m. There is no school on Tues. March 16. The teachers will be attending the Nurturing the Faith Conference in Loveland. There is also no school on Fri. March 19 for parent conferences.

Parent conferences will be held next week on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Notices with your scheduled time will come home on Monday. Please try to be prompt so that the schedule can be followed as close as possible. If you have a confict or are delayed for your conference, please let me know.

Kindergarten will be singing for the 10:00 a.m. Lenten service on Wed. March 24. Any KPM students that would like to come and sing are welcome to do so.

March is the last month for the Book-It program.

Thank you to those who bought and donated books for our classroom from the Book Fair. We enjoy getting new books! (There was no March book order sent because of the Book Fair. Book orders will go home in April and May.)
